Cleaning your windows can often be an afterthought. Sometimes it’s not until a sunny day that we notice that our windows are shockingly covered in grease and dust that has built up over time. And if you have young children you’ll be all too familiar with the amount sticky fingerprints left all over just about anything, including your lovely windows and mirrors.

Luckily, you can create your own homemade glass cleaner using only the following simple kitchen ingredients, without having to worry about the children breathing in any harsh chemicals.

1. Fill a spray bottle with 470ml of water and add 120ml of apple cider vinegar, 60ml of rubbing alcohol and 3 drops of lemon essential oil.

2. Close the spray bottle and give it a good shake.

3. Spray the solution onto a cloth and apply to the glass surface that you intend to clean.
