Our New Herbal Tea Themed Herb Art, Created By Bloggers!
As part of our Inside Out Beauty campaign, we got in touch with some of our favourite healthy living and wellness bloggers to challenge them to create their own piece of herb art, inspired by our collaboration with the artist Mustashrik last year. (Need a reminder? Click here!)
We created three herbal tea recipes to theme our artwork around – all using ingredients you can buy here at Baldwins.
-
The Inner Balance Tea creates a sense of calm and peacefulness thanks to herbs such as peppermint, hibiscus and lavender.
-
Immuni-Tea helps to boost your ability to ward off coughs and colds thanks to a mix including echinacea and elderberries.
-
Finally, the Stomach Soothing Tea is brilliant for after dinner, with chamomile and ginger to ease the stomach and encourage better digestion.
Each blogger was sent a personalised card to act as their canvas, with the outline of one of the herbal characters featured in last year’s art. They also received a pack containing a mix of the ingredients of one of our tea recipes, and they were instructed to fill in dresses using the herbs they’d been given. Here are our amazing submissions!

If our amazing artworks have inspired you to give creating your own herbal tea blends a go, here are our recipes to start you off:
Inner Balance Tea
Mix equal parts of nettle, senna, buckthorn, marshmallow root, dandelion leaf, peppermint, fennel, ginger, fresh orange peel, lavender, violets and hibiscus.
Place a teaspoon of the mixture in a cup and pour boiling water over. Cover and steep for 10 minutes. Strain tea, then sweeten with honey if desired.
Immuni-Tea
Combine 1 teaspoon elderberries, 2 teaspoons chamomile, 2 teaspoons echinacea, a thumb-sized piece of astragalus and pour boiling water over. Cover and steep for 10 minutes. Strain tea, then sweeten with honey if desired.
Stomach Soothing Tea
Combine 2 teaspoons dried chamomile flowers, 1 teaspoon dried peppermint leaves, 1 teaspoon lightly crushed fennel seeds and 1 teaspoon dried cut ginger and pour boiling water over. Cover and steep for 10 minutes. Strain tea, then sweeten with honey if desired.
With all recipes, feel free to adjust ingredient amounts to your tastes and experiment with flavour combinations. If you want to encourage better health of certain areas of the body, why not look at our herbal remedy body map for inspiration.
Thank you to all of our amazing bloggers (or should that be artists!) who submitted their herb art creations as part of our Inside Out campaign. We’d recommend following all of them for tips on natural beauty, skincare, healthful cooking and general natural wellbeing – so click on the links under their artwork and get bookmarking!
