Vata Ayurveda Organic Spice Mix, as featured in the book Health & Vitality Through Taste by John Broome. This is a combination of Cinnamon, Coriander, Cardamom, Cumin, Ginger and Turmeric powders. Packed in an Amber Glass Jar.

Each spice has properties and tastes related to each of the doshas. In some cases, a small amount of a spice is used that is not suited to the dosha that the mix is for, such as the heating effect of cumin for Pitta types. However, digestion is improved with cumin and a small amount is suitable for Pitta types. In this way the Spice Mixes are suitable for each type.

Cinnamon: Improves digestion, reduces blood sugar levels, increases circulation, is good for the central nervous system and purifies the blood.

Coriander : Purifies the blood and alleviates urinary tract infection and constipation.

Cardamom: An excellent aid to digestion and lowers blood pressure.

Cumin: Aids digestion and helps flush toxins.

Ginger: Excellent digestive aid, improves assimilation of food.

Turmeric: Reduces weight gain and is very good for the skin and complexion.
